A folk scandinavian elopement in the Alps
What does the magic with winter weddings is to find snow and sun. What do you think of having a ceremony next to a frozen lake at the sunset ?
That’s why Noemie and Adam chose to say yes to each other in front of their friends and family, in an intimate atmosphere, in small committee.
A musical ceremony on the shores of lake Montriond
It was on the shores of Lake Montriond, that this marriage took place, that I am familiar since I grew up in that region, in the valley.
Winter weddings are often happening around ski stations, for their (and you will not contradict me) incredible landscapes, between lake and mountains.
So it was at the edge of the frozen lake (and covered with snow) that I had the chance to photograph these two lovers. It was their friend who began the ceremony in a rhythmic guitar, accompanied by explicitly funny lyrics.
The lovers then exchanged their vows at sunset, under a nice tipi flowered by Menthe Sauvage.
Feel like a folk wedding aswell?
